State Street Scholarship Fund
The Open Doors Initiative are delighted to announce the creation of a scholarship fund generously supportedby State Street; this programme is aimed at enabling students from marginalised communities to reach their education goals.
Applications are now open to students enrolled in third level courses for the 2025-2026 academic year, for both full and part time courses (with start dates anytime in this period)
Scholarships of up to €1000 each will be awarded to applicants who meet all the following criteria and are successful in the application process. We expect strong interest in this fund and successful applicants will be notified as soon as possible
- Aged 18 + and residing in the Republic of Ireland
- Intending to apply for or is currently enrolled in a full or part time course for the 2025-26 educational year at NFQ Level 6 or above
- Experiencing barriers to education due to financial limitations
- Is a migrant, refugee, or asylum seeker, a person with a disability, a member of the LGBTQ+ community, a member of the Roma or Traveller communities, a person with a criminal past or any intersectionality between these groups
- All applications should be completed by the potential scholarship recipient; the use of AI is strongly discouraged in this process
- Proof of payment to the educational institute will be required
The scholarship must only be used towards tuition or registration fees. Applicants must complete this form, which includes a personal statement (max 500 words) and a video submission (max 2 minutes) explaining why they would benefit from this scholarship - please send your video to info@opendoorsinitiative.ie and in title please put State Street Educational Scholarship with your name. Application deadline is 31st July 2025.
